The M3NIR 6th General Meeting (GM6) took place on July 2nd and 3rd, 2024, at Alpes Lasers in St-Blaise, Switzerland. This event marked a pivotal moment in the project’s journey, bringing together consortium partners to review progress, discuss ongoing tasks, and strategize for the future.
Over the two days, participants engaged in comprehensive sessions covering project management, technical advancements, and key structural developments. The discussions were dynamic and forward-looking, focusing on the creation of innovative mid-IR laser components and modular systems. These sessions were crucial in aligning efforts and setting the stage for the next phase of the project.
The practical applications of the work were explored through smaller group discussions, focusing on the three main use cases: monitoring greenhouse gases, analyzing liquid samples, and conducting breath analysis for health monitoring. The collaborative environment fostered new ideas and reinforced the shared commitment to advancing these technologies.
